ABOUT HOSTING
By stepping into the role of host, you're not just providing our teens with a new experience. You're also showing them the value of community, collaboration, and mutual support – values that we believe are central to the education we're collectively providing for our children.
You can Host many Types of Events
Plan the Event
-
Determine the type of event you'd like to host.
-
Consider the age range and group size that would be appropriate and manageable for your event.
-
Decide on a date and time that works best for you. Consider the likely availability of your target attendees.
-
Plan out the event details, including what materials or resources will be needed and what you provide.
-
If your event is in-person, ensure the location is suitable and safe for the group size.
-
Prepare a brief description of the event that outlines what attendees can expect.
Post the Event
-
Complete the host sign-up form on our website (below), providing all requested details about your event.
-
Wait for approval from the community team. We aim to review and respond to all submissions within 48 hours.
-
Once approved, your event will be listed on the website for students and parents to see.
-
Monitor sign-ups or RSVPs through the website to keep track of who's attending.
-
Feel free to promote your event in your own networks, too, as long as attendees are from the specified schools and class year.
Host the Event
-
On the day of the event, prepare your space (or digital platform) in advance and ensure all necessary resources are available.
-
If in-person, consider having a sign-in sheet for safety and attendance purposes.
-
Kick off the event with a welcome message and a brief rundown of the event activities & rules.
-
During the event, encourage participation and interaction among the attendees.
-
Make sure to enforce the community guidelines and maintain a respectful and safe environment.
-
After the event, complete the feedback form.
